在2018年度中国科学院“国际人才计划”支持下，澳大利亚昆士兰大学Kamel Hooman教授入选并进入中科院广州能源所先进能源系统研究室开展合作研究，Kamel Hooman教授将于2019年2月25日在所举行学术报告会，报告会安排如下：
Title: Advances in air-cooled heat exchangers: application in renewable energy
The use of air cooled heat exchangers offers a lot of benefit mainly from the cost and environmental point of view. Recent advances in research on air-cooled heat exchangers at the Renewable Energy Conversion Centre of Excellence of The University of Queensland form the basis of this presentation. The application of such heat exchangers in different settings and industries will be briefly presented. In particular, selected results from some of our recent research activities are presented with some theoretical, numerical and experimental data shared.
Brief introduction of the reporter ：Kamel Hooman completed his PhD at The University of Queensland (UQ), for which he received a Dean's Award for Research Higher Degree Excellence and an Emerald Engineering Award (Outstanding Doctoral Research). He is a Teaching & Research academic staff within the School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering. His research interests are in Thermofluids and Energy. Kamel is currently the Director of the Renewable Energy Conversion Centre of Excellence at UQ with an average annual income of over $1m per year. With over 150 papers in international journals and about 50 conference presentations he has a h-index of 31. He won a number of awards and fellowships on top of visiting professor's positions from different institutes with the latest one being at Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is on editorial boards of International Journal of Exergy as well as Energies while he has executive editorial responsibilities for Heat Transfer Engineering as well as Journal of Porous Media.
